Golden Wine Cap
Premium Golden Wine Cap Mushroom (Stropharia rugosoannulata lutea) Liquid Culture by Artisan Mushrooms Ireland
Premium Golden Wine Cap (Stropharia rugosoannulata lutea) mushroom liquid culture offering vigorous, fast-growing mycelium with exceptional yield potential. Known for its striking golden-yellow caps, robust flavour, and adaptability, it is ideal for growers seeking a high-production strain suitable for both gourmet and commercial mushroom cultivation.
IDEAL GROWING CONDITIONS: Golden Wine Cap (Stropharia rugosoannulata lutea)
Substrate: Supplemented hardwood sawdust, straw, or woodchip mixtures
Colonisation Temperature: 18°C - 25°C (64°F - 77°F)
Pinning Temperature: 15°C - 22°C (59°F - 72°F)
Pinning Humidity: 90-95%
Fruiting Temperature: 12°C - 20°C (54°F - 68°F)
Fruiting Humidity: 85 - 95%
MAKING SAWDUST SPAWN FOR OUTDOOR WOODCHIP BEDS
To cultivate Golden Wine Cap mushrooms outdoors, producing sawdust spawn is an essential step for successful inoculation of woodchip beds.
Prepare Sawdust Substrate: Use hardwood sawdust supplemented with bran or other nutrient-rich additives. Thoroughly mix and adjust moisture to an ideal field capacity (~60%).
Sterilise or Pasteurise: Sterilise the substrate by pressure cooking at 121°C (15 PSI) for 90-120 minutes, or choose pasteurisation techniques suitable for outdoor spawn production.
Inoculation: Inoculate the cooled sterile sawdust substrate with the Golden Wine Cap liquid culture or grain spawn under aseptic conditions, ensuring even distribution.
Incubation: Incubate the inoculated sawdust spawn at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) in the dark until fully colonised, typically between 14 to 21 days. The sawdust should become fully white with fungal mycelium.
Application: Spread the fully colonised sawdust spawn evenly over prepared outdoor woodchip beds in shady, moist locations. Maintain adequate moisture by watering as needed and protect from direct sun or extreme drying.
Fruiting: Mushrooms will begin to fruit within weeks to months, depending on environmental conditions, producing abundant, vibrant Golden Wine Cap mushrooms.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
10ml liquid culture syringe containing living mycelium of Golden Wine Cap mushroom (Stropharia rugosoannulata lutea)
Sterile alcohol wipe
18G sterile needle for injection into your preferred substrate or grow kit
Sealed in a secure zip lock bag
WHAT IS LIQUID CULTURE?
Liquid culture is a nutrient-rich broth made from distilled water combined with malt extract and dextrose, often sweetened with natural sugars like honey. This creates an optimal medium for growing vigorous mycelium, which acts as the “seed” to inoculate grow kits or substrate mixes, enabling efficient and rapid mushroom cultivation with Artisan Mushrooms Ireland.
STORAGE:
For peak freshness and vigorous growth, use your Golden Wine Cap liquid culture as soon as possible. If not used immediately, store refrigerated at 4°C for up to 3 months. All cultures from Artisan Mushrooms Ireland undergo rigorous testing on agar and grain to ensure purity and high-quality performance. Each batch is prepared fresh under sterile lab conditions using laminar flow hoods for contamination-free packaging.
