About the Project
The Artisan Mushrooms Woodland & Fungi Rewilding Project aims to support the creation of native woodland and fungal habitat on suitable land around Ireland.
Customer contributions will be pooled to help fund native trees, planting materials, tree protection and suitable small-scale rewilding projects. We hope to work with landowners who have areas they would like to restore, rewild or establish as permanent native woodland.
As these woodlands develop, they can provide valuable habitat for fungi through healthy soil, living tree roots, fallen leaves and naturally decaying wood. They can also support native plants, insects, birds and other wildlife.
How Your €2 Helps
Your contribution will be added to a dedicated project fund and used towards:
Suitable native trees
Stakes, guards and planting materials
Protection from livestock and wildlife
Replacement of trees that fail to establish
Other reasonable woodland-establishment costs
Contributions will be pooled, so €2 does not necessarily represent one individual tree. However, every contribution will help move the project forward.
Artisan Mushrooms will not make any profit from these contributions. 100% of each €2 contribution will be recorded separately and reserved for project costs. Any payment-processing fees will be covered separately by Artisan Mushrooms and will not be deducted from the project fund.
Project Updates
We will publish updates as suitable planting projects are identified, including information about planting locations, trees funded and how customer contributions have been used.
